Well hello there! If we haven’t met, how do you do? If we have, nice to see you again!

I’m Laura and I work with service-providers to get their vibe on video so they attract more clients and opportunities to their business.

I do this through 1:1 training & consultancy, done-for-you video creation and membership, which you can read all about on My Offers page.

But the eagle-eyed among you will see you’re not on my offers page.

You’re on my About Me page.

So I’ll hazard a guess you’re here to see what this Laura Jane Stack lady is all about.

Well buckle in, it’s a bumpy ride!

Years and years ago – 8 years to be exact, I fled a toxic workplace to try my hand as a freelance video producer.

Not having the first clue how to run a business or market myself, I started the old-fashioned way – attending networking events, shaking hands, exchanging business cards, and praying for just enough work to keep my business afloat. It worked. Just.

4 years in and 2 kids down, it was increasingly hard to get out and about, so I needed to find another way to attract new clients without leaving the house. It seemed kinda obvious to be making videos, seen as that’s what I did for a living, but recording myself was a whole other story.

I would totally overthink it, spending all day setting up my “proper” camera and recording over and over again to get a perfect take. Eventually I’d post it and then I’d spend the next hours and days worrying that someone would leave a negative comment. It was exhausting.

I’d see other online business owners doing what I wanted to do – knowing I could do that too, but my self-doubt made it hard to stick with it. Somehow, I found the will to keep going, and started to get into the swing of creating videos. I quickly noticed the more personality I put into my content, the better the response.

Then one day, I noticed a IG post from a popular LinkedIn trainer who wrote that you can’t use the word “Dildo” in a LinkedIn post or it will be flagged and you’ll get your account banned. I joked: “What about if you use it in a video?” Her response: “You first”

And so came the idea for “the” video (you can watch it here). It was a hit and it gave me the confidence to keep going, make more videos and bring more of my humour and personality into them than ever before. Oh, and I didn’t get banned!

It’s also how I coined the phrase “Getting your vibe on video.” VIBE, Get it?

One day soon after, I decided to commit to posting a video on LinkedIn every day for 100 days and my online presence blew up! I finally saw the effect of the thing that had been right under my nose all along.

I grew my audience, put my engagement on turbo, booked new clients, and most importantly, became a person of influence in my space.

I was still a bit concerned that my clients wouldn’t see the same results from videos that I did, but then something unexpected happened…

They did even better!

Clients were reporting new clients, commissions and collaborations as a result of their videos. Now I was hooked! But I still had to work to do.

I needed to condense everything I knew into something as as accessible as possible for business owners spinning many plates.

So I developed a 4-part video programme, which includes defining your video style, reviewing opportunities for video, and learning how to create engaging videos easily.

I love to work with business owners that are passionate about what they do and have a message that needs to be heard.

So all that’s left to do now is go out and help as many of them as I can to get their vibe on video.
